How We Engage With CommunitiesThe PAUH Social Impact Agenda
The PAUH Social Impact Agenda formulates its programs around four main themes.
These themes inform our approach when designing programs for the constituents of Permatang Pauh.
What is the PAUH Social Impact Agenda?
The world has changed dramatically over the last five years. The nature of work has changed, especially with the expansion of informal work. Rising costs of living have spilled out into semi-urban and rural areas. Society has shifted sideways, stuck in an income trap, while social problems and issues have evolved beyond a readiness to be addressed.
Yet our approach to delivering impactful and meaningful change for communities has largely remained the same. We are stuck in a prism of delivering short-term, superficial and shallow projects that are neither sustainable nor impactful, doing little to help the targeted communities break from their vicious cycles. A fresh, revitalized approach is required in order to deliver meaningful change and reform.
The PAUH Social Impact Agenda is that approach. It breaks away from a traditional bureaucratic system challenging those norms with a commitment to deliver transformational public services with a strong focus on positive social impact, sustainability and longevity. Our comprehensive approach to keeps the rakyat at the heart of all we do, and is simultaneously mindful of the importance of building both infrastructure and capacity to truly uplift our target communities.
