Agama Islam menuntut kita mencari kebenaran.

Ahli Parlimen Lembah Pantai

Press Statement
14 January 2011
Islam bids us to seek the truth. Yet in seeking the truth, one must maintain civility. Moderation and harmony must be kept. Thus, I invite those who had protested today to join me in seeking the truth of the matter regarding the call to prayer (azan) issue at Masjid Al-Ikhlasiah.
Firstly: who was it that made the complaint, and has this complainant’s letter been thoroughly reviewed to get a clear and convincing picture of the complaint?
Secondly: if this letter was indeed officially submitted to and received by YAB Perdana Menteri, YB Datuk Raja Non Chik, YB Major Datuk Seri Jamil Khir bin Baharom, YB Dato Seri Mohd Nazri, YB Dato Seri Koh Tsu Koon and the PM’s advisor for religious affairs, Datuk Seri Abdullah bin Mat Zain, what was their respective responses?
Thirdly: which party was responsible in ordering the Mosque Committee to reduce the volume of the azan, and
Lastly, if indeed it was JAWI that had ordered the action, we cannot but seek a written explanation if there exists guidelines regarding the azan for all mosques and suraus across the country, that enabled JAWI to issue the order to Masjid Al-Ikhlasiah.
The protestors must ask those who received the letter of complaint: what was their response?
